Olive & Ash Gives Back to Nature

In our on-going quest to be as environmentally conscious as possible by reducing consumer and product packaging waste, we are very pleased to offer our clients an added value of environmentalism and an ode to nature by providing plantable soap bands and product tags.

What is Plantable Paper?

Plantable paper is a special handmade paper that is embedded with wildflower seeds. The paper used is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) that are embedded with wildflower seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is beautiful flowers and/or herbs and no waste. It’s easy to plant and fun to grow.

Olive & Ash Soap Bands & Product Tags Planting Instructions:

To plant the soap band(s) and/ or product tags, first fill a pot with good-quality potting soil, about 2/3 full. Place the plantable seed paper on top of the soil, trimming to fit and cover the top. Cover the seed paper with a thin layer of soil and water well until the soil and seed paper are evenly damp. Place the pot in a sunny location and keep moist until the plantable paper has germinated, which is about 7-10 days. Enjoy the wildflowers as they grow and blossom.

• Black Eyed Susan
• Catchfly
• Snapdragon
• Sweet Alyssum
• English Daisy

Mother Nature gives us many beautiful botanicals and herbs to use in our products and this is our way of being grateful for these and for being able to give back in a small way as every little action counts.
